David Ortiz Solidifies Himself as One of the Greatest Humans to Ever Live

David Ortiz went undercover as a Lyft driver in Boston for an amazing video but I have a little problem with the video. My problem is HOW ON EARTH do these people not recognize him!!! It is not as though he is doing this stunt somewhere unfathomable to see him, he is driving around the streets of Boston….. His size, his smile, his voice, come on give me break!! If I was one of the passengers and I didn’t recognize Big Papi himself I would promptly move out of New England. How is it possible these people didn’t recognize David Ortiz as their Lyft driver even when his alter ego was as bad as Clark Kent’s. Just toss on a wig and sunglasses and its like he is not even there? This video has to be rigged, right? Either way, this is a 10/10 video and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

ALSO, if you haven’t already. Check out David Ortiz’s piece on the Player’s Tribune.

Here is a brief excerpt from the article via The Player’s Tribune, seriously if you have the time be sure to read it. It was one of, if not the best articles I’ve ever read and it was penned by Big Papi himself.

“Me, Manny and Pedro used to sit in the dugout watching the Yankees’ pitchers warming up, and we’d say to each other, “Alright, how we gonna take these mother******* down today?” Every time me or Manny stepped to the plate, it was a psychological battle. With guys like Pettitte and Mussina, we lived off their mistakes. That’s what we were hunting. If those guys missed and left something over the plate and we didn’t make them pay, it was like somebody stole your child. If Mussina hung a breaking ball and I didn’t hurt him, I would think about it for days…. Playing against the Yankees was just different. It was war”
